A.P.I.E.D.
is an autonomous, Self-finance Institution with around 320 students and
nearly 50 Core, Contract and Visiting Faculty members, run by a body of
professional Architects. It has a progressive, responsive, democratic,
socially conscious academic ideal with an aim to produce professionally
qualified Architects, meeting the needs of the society, both in the rural
and the urban context. Recognizing
the need for trained professionals in the field of Architecture and
Interior Design, as in other fields, the objective of the Institute
is to train full-fledged Professional Designers, who can work as a member
of a team for a large project or as an independent Designer with
confidence & ingenuity. The aim of the Institute is to provide Interior
Art & Design Education and make it available to the vast student
community who are deprived of creative education because of admission
policies of concerned authorities. The Institute believes in
exploring dormant skills & creative abilities and in training
those who have a special aptitude. A.P.I.E.D. aspires not only to train competent technocrats but also in increasing students’ sensitivity to the emotional, spiritual & aesthetic dimensions. The students are also equipped to understand the complex societal forces that would increasingly bear on them when they begin their professional life and to cope with them successfully.
